Walgreens Sponsors 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament

Saturday, June 18, was a beautiful morning to play outdoor games.  Bean bag toss has become a big sport these days and the 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament was a big hit with all participants.  Thanks to the generous support of Ron Boudreau, and his staff at our local Walgreens store, over $500 was raised to further the work of NGFCM.  The funds will be converted to gift cards to assist clients with daily needs that food stamps will not buy.  We are pleased to partner with Walgreens in this endeavor.

Walgreens sponsorship also provided prize money to the tournament champs, Kevin and Tommy Statton, of Travelers Rest.  Extra thanks to Kevin and Tommy for donating one-half of their winnings to the Ministry.

We appreciate members of the TR Fire Department and TR Police Department for taking time to enter a team and cheer on the winners.  Next year is a new challenge.

Special thanks to James Richardson of the Travelers Rest Tribune for providing our photo journal of the day.  Click here to see TR Tribune Story & Photos
